Lut’s Luxuary Afternoon Tea
Don’t just say Afternoon Tea, it’s Lut’s Afternoon Tea…
“A feast for all the senses - a real luxurious experience.”
Since my High Tea experiences on my first trip to England about thirty years ago I have continued to love afternoon teas. Over the years I have adapted them and given them my own Belgian touch.
Lut’s Place loves to create beauty
From that extra berry, to a flower on your cake in decoration...the signs of care and attention are everywhere.
A special treat for you and your friends
Did you know that afternoon tea was introduced in England by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in the year 1840? It was once common for there to be only 2 meals in the day - breakfast and an evening meal at 8pm. Because of the long gap the Duchess often became hungry around 4pm. The Duchess requested a tray of tea, bread and butter and cake be brought to her room during the late afternoon, which soon became a habit that she invited her friends to join.
This pause for tea became a fashionable social event. During the 1880’s upper-class and society women would change into long gowns, gloves and hats for their afternoon tea which was usually served in the drawing room between four and five o’clock.
Lut’s Afternoon Tea is suitable for any occasion (no long gowns necessary)
An experience to remember and repeat (often) as it will not be the same twice.
